Enemix has partnered with one of Australia’s leading energy solutions providers, who are going from strength to strength. The advisory arm of the company are expanding their Energy and Carbon team to further expand into the brokerage and commercial advisory markets in Australia. They are seeking someone passionate about the renewables and decarbonisation market who is looking to leave their mark on the industry.

The Role

As a Energy Markets Manager, you will bring your Energy and Carbon sector expertise to lead innovative, industry-standard research and analysis, supporting customers and the broader renewable energy market. You will play an integral role in identifying new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, delivering on business advisory programs. This role will be largely focussed on commercial advisory for Renewable Energy and Battery Storage projects. This role can be based out of their Melbourne or Sydney offices.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a project team, providing advice on project commercialisation to Renewables & Storage developers.
- Focus on developing and running process to buy or sell offtakes in Energy and Carbon sectors.
- Client facing role, where you will have the opportunity to engage with key market players, preparing proposals and pitches, growing a pipeline of projects.
- Identify customer opportunities and lead the pricing, structuring and negotiation of offtake agreements, primarily Power Purchase Agreements.
- Monitor market trends, expand client network and strengthen market position.
- Supporting team operations and assist in training new hires, helping to establish office culture and grow team.
- Oversee Delivery for Australian Clients across Electricity and Energy Market projects. Client types range from Developers, Retailers, Gentailers and OEMs.
- Maintain high quality of deliverables the consultancy is known for.

Qualifications

-5 + years of relevant experience and exposure preferably, renewable energy (BESS), Energy Markets or energy transition strategies.
- Experience working on PPAs and Procurement within the renewable energy market.
- Strong understanding of project commercialisation and project development for renewable projects.
- Ability to manage and lead a small team of modellers, overseeing strategies, drive decision making and effectively liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, economics or a related technical field.
