Their mission is to create the definitive information framework for the energy transition, fostering a great team to do it together.

Given the technologies and services they offer, the are looking for Energy Market Analysts with a quantitative and data science background to join the Sydney team. It is crucial that you have a desire to grow and learn, be a part of a rapidly growing company, and have an appetite to work in an exciting start-up environment.

The Role
As a Market Analyst, you will bring your Energy and Electricity sector expertise to produce innovative, industry-standard research and analysis, supporting our customers and the broader battery energy storage sector. You will collaborate with research, data, modelling, and product teams to plan and develop data analytics products that will transform workflows across the power industry.

Responsibilities
• Create data-driven, analytical content about electricity, energy and power markets and asset operations in various formats, primarily written articles and videos, to deliver high-value insights to our Energy Sector.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure alignment and deliver significant value to our users through all our product, content, and customer-facing efforts.
• Build relationships with our users, expand your network, and stay current with developments in the clean energy industry.
• Supporting operations and new hires and helping to establish office culture.
• Stay informed about the latest Energy market and policy news, communicating this within the company and to the broader industry.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure alignment and deliver significant value to our users through all our product, content, and customer-facing efforts.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of professional experience in power markets.
• Experience conducting complex data analysis in Python.
• Deep understanding of the electricity system and power trading, preferably with experience in how battery energy storage systems generate revenue in the NEM.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to discover, explore, visualize, and communicate trends and patterns in numerical data to provide value to our users.
• Excellent critical thinking skills. You will have the platform to become an influential thought leader in the renewable energy space, but you must develop your own thoughtful opinions and ask insightful questions of those around you
• Experience conducting complex data analysis in Python.
