Trading Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a Trading Performance Manager to lead revenue optimisation for a portfolio of energy assets in Australia. The role focuses on maximising trading strategies within the physical and financial constraints of the assets and collaborating with external partners to continuously improve bidding strategies.
This position involves evaluating current and future trading team activities, ensuring accurate and timely communication of asset performance to senior stakeholders, and providing market commentary to keep the team informed of key developments.
What You’ll Do
-Optimise revenue performance for operational assets
-Design and execute trading strategies in collaboration with internal teams
-Monitor and manage trading activities to ensure efficiency and compliance
-Align trading decisions with asset management and contractual obligations
-Contribute to portfolio optimisation and strategic growth initiatives
What We’re Looking For
-Degree in a quantitative discipline (engineering, commerce, data science, or similar)
-Hands-on experience in spot trading within the National Electricity Market (NEM)
-Strong understanding of market rules and compliance requirements
-Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and coding (Python, R)
-Exceptional communication skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders
