Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on high-voltage (HV) systems, substations, and complex electrical infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient testing and commissioning. Responsibilities
-Lead and participate in the testing and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems and substations.
-Ensure equipment is tested and operational according to project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to installation, testing, and commissioning.
-Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and workflows.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors.
-Document test results, equipment performance, and submit detailed commissioning reports.
-Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout projects.
-Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
-A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
-Proven experience in testing, commissioning, and maintaining high-voltage (HV) systems and substations.
-Strong knowledge of electrical testing equipment and procedures.
-Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
-Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in relay testing and secondary system integration.
-Knowledge of SCADA systems and communications protocols.
-Relevant certifications in electrical testing and commissioning (e.g., NETA, NICET).
