We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power Systems and Grid Advisory Lead to join our client who is a leading boutique power systems consultancy. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing expert guidance, technical analysis, and impactful solutions in the power systems and grid advisory domain.

Responsibilities

-Lead power systems and grid-related advisory projects with a focus on analysis, planning, and due diligence
-Manage advisory efforts, ensuring progress aligns with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
-Work closely with technical teams on assessments of power systems, including fault current analysis (R1, R0, R2) and related technical evaluations
-Evaluate renewable energy integration, storage systems, and their impact on grid stability and performance
-Provide expert guidance on utility-scale power grid operations, policies, and optimizations
-Develop and implement strategies for operational improvements and risk mitigation.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address client-specific needs and align project deliverables
-Prepare, present, and deliver reports, proposals, and recommendations to stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
-Stay updated on current trends, technologies, and policies in the power and energy sectors, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations

Qualifications

-Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related field
-Extensive experience in power systems analysis, grid systems, and technical advisory projects
-Proficiency in using tools like PSSE, PSCAD or PowerFactory highly regarded
-Proven track record in conducting due diligence assessments for large-scale energy projects
-Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams
-Demonstrates clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
-Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment that values teamwork and diverse perspective
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Day-to-Day

-Lead client meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement to understand and address technical challenges
-Review regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with national and international standards
-Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and deliver innovative grid solutions
-Contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and mentorship initiatives in the team
-Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations
-Proactively address project risks, issues, and opportunities
-Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in power grid technology, smart grids, and renewable energy advancements to identify future opportunities
