The company is an experienced renewable energy developer active across several European markets. The founders of the business itself has farming in their roots, which has allowed them to be really successful in the development of large scale Agri-pv projects across Europe.
Its core activities include the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. The company follows a long-term, responsible development approach and works closely with local stakeholders to deliver sustainable and grid-relevant energy infrastructure.
The Role
For the German market, the company is seeking an experienced PV & BESS Project Developer with strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills. The role is based in the Greater Hannover area or Berlin and involves close collaboration with an established development team, supported by in-house technical, legal, financial, and communications specialists.
The Project Developer is responsible for advancing solar PV and BESS projects from early development through to ready-to-build (RTB) status. Regular presence at the Northern Germany office is expected (minimum two days per week).
Key Responsibilities
-Development of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects from site identification through permitting and RTB
-Coordination and management of relationships with:
-Local and regional authorities
-Grid operators
-Landowners and neighboring stakeholders
-External consultants and service providers
-Presentation of project concepts and planning proposals, including integration of stakeholder feedback
-Management of grid connection processes, including capacity requests, cable routing, and technical coordination
-Negotiation and execution of land agreements and development-related contracts
-Support of commercial strategies, including power offtake structures (e.g. PPAs, market-based mechanisms, or regulatory schemes)
-Monitoring of regulatory, market, and grid developments and incorporation of insights into project strategy
-Close collaboration with internal teams across engineering, legal, finance, and communications
Required Background & Experience
-At least three years of experience in renewable energy project development (solar PV and/or BESS)
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, renewable energy, environmental sciences, spatial planning, or similar)
-Demonstrated experience in:
-Project development and permitting
-Stakeholder and authority management
-Contract negotiation and execution
-Grid capacity organization and grid connection processes
Skills & Personal Attributes
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Native-level German and fluent English
-Structured and detail-oriented working style with strong organizational skills
-High level of initiative, ownership, and problem-solving capability
-Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in stakeholder-facing situations
-Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally
