Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and commissioning of protection systems for T&D and renewable energy projects.
• Develop and review protection schemes, including relay settings, coordination studies, and fault analysis.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
• Conduct system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis, to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, design engineers, and field technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Stay updated on industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in protection engineering.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex protection system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings, for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in protection engineering, with a focus on T&D and renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency in the design, configuration, and testing of protection relays from leading manufacturers.
• Strong understanding of power system protection principles, including fault analysis and relay coordination.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NERC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
