Responsibilities

As the

Senior Engineer - Power and Earthing Systems

, you will:

• Provide expert engineering services to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
• Conduct advanced power system studies, including arc flash analysis, protection grading, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies, using DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Design, analyze, and evaluate earthing systems using CDEGS to ensure safety and reliability.
• Perform precise cable sizing calculations using CYMCAP to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with clients, project stakeholders, and cross-disciplinary teams to achieve project success.
• Ensure the successful delivery of large-scale projects in the energy, utilities, mining, and renewables sectors.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support knowledge sharing and team development.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies to drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience in power system studies, including arc flash analysis, protection grading, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies.
• Demonstrated expertise in earthing system design and cable sizing methodology.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, CDEGS, and CYMCAP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• A successful track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects in the energy, utilities, mining, or renewables sectors.
