We’re seeking an experienced Trading & Portfolio Manager to lead a high‑performing trading and analytics team within a rapidly evolving energy organisation. This role suits a strategic, data‑driven leader with strong energy market expertise and a passion for innovation.

About the Role

You will oversee energy market analysis, trading strategy, portfolio optimisation, and customer risk management. The role includes leading a team of analysts and traders, enhancing analytical and AI capabilities, and managing a renewable energy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead trading, analytics, and portfolio management functions.
• Monitor wholesale energy markets and customer exposure using advanced data and AI tools.
• Develop and optimise trading, hedging, and risk strategies.
• Manage renewable generation assets and support asset dispatch strategy.
• Build and maintain trading policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong energy market analysis and trading leadership experience.
• 5+ years in leadership or management of energy trading or portfolio analytics teams.
• Expertise in derivatives, forecasting, risk management, and advanced analytics/AI.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, engineering, or a quantitative field.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
