Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager with our client, you will step into a leadership role overseeing major Tier 1 electrical infrastructure projects. Your expertise in high voltage (HV) systems, substations, and transmission lines will be pivotal in delivering projects that are essential to the future of Victoria's infrastructure. With a clear vision and a team of skilled professionals, you'll execute high-caliber projects that meet and exceed the expectations of key stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager for our client, your mission is to lead, strategize, and innovate. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading High-Value Projects: Overseeing a billion-dollar portfolio encompassing substation construction, high voltage systems, and transmission line projects, while providing unmatched technical and strategic expertise.
• Building High-Performing Teams: Mentoring and managing a team of Project Managers and Engineers, cultivating a collaborative and high-achieving environment.
• Elevating Client Relationships: Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs, exceeding their expectations, and uncovering future business opportunities.
• Delivering Technical Excellence: Ensuring the success of highly complex projects involving HV systems (up to 220kV), substations, and cutting-edge switchboard technology.
• Ensuring Operational Success: Managing budgets, schedules, and risks to deliver seamless and high-quality project outcomes while adhering to industry standards.
• Inspiring Leadership: Empowering your team to innovate, thrive, and develop as industry leaders.

About You

Your expertise, passion, and leadership abilities are key to realizing our client’s vision. The ideal candidate will bring:

• Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of high voltage systems, substations, and related equipment (up to 220kV).
• Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in driving high-performing teams of engineers and project professionals to success.
• A Client-Focused Approach: Exceptional ability to build strong client relationships, while recognizing and pursuing new opportunities.
• Problem-Solving Prowess: A history of overcoming challenges through innovative, technically sound solutions.
• Educational Credentials: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. Possession of PMP or similar professional certifications is a strong advantage.
• Significant Experience: A track record of managing large-scale, high voltage transmission and substation projects within Tier 1 environments.
