  • Act as the primary liaison between client teams, EPC contractors, subcontractors, OEMs, and network service providers.

HV & Electrical Scope Oversight

  • Manage HV construction activities, including substations, balance of plant, transmission connections, protection systems, and electrical interfaces.
  • Collaborate with testing, commissioning, and energization teams to ensure safe and successful project completion.
  • Provide constructability insights and practical solutions for both electrical and civil scopes.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to WHS requirements, project safety plans, and statutory obligations.
  • Monitor quality systems and inspection processes to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and network authority requirements.
  • Address and resolve non-conformances, defects, and punch-list items.

Programme & Stakeholder Management

  • Track construction progress against the project schedule and proactively manage risks and constraints.
  • Participate in project reporting, site meetings, risk workshops, and interface coordination forums.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and contractors through clear communication and decisive leadership.

Delivery Support

  • Contribute to project planning, mobilisation, contractor oversight, and construction strategy development.
  • Support cost, change, and risk management activities related to construction delivery.
  • Provide input into lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and future project bids.

Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • Proven experience managing construction on large-scale HV, renewable energy, or major electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of HV transmission and distribution works, grid connections, and testing/commissioning processes.
  • Experience in EPC, client-side, consultancy, or contractor environments on complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Australian electrical standards, construction practices, and safety requirements.
  • Strong site leadership, interface management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance technical detail with commercial and program awareness.

Personal Attributes

  • Practical, calm, and solutions-focused in high-pressure project environments.
  • Collaborative and approachable, with the confidence to lead without ego.
  • Comfortable working across disciplines and contributing beyond traditional role boundaries.
  • Aligned with a culture of trust, ownership, learning, and shared success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction activities and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor safety, quality, and progress.
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and technical teams to resolve on-site challenges.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status and risks.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and energization activities to ensure seamless project handover.
