Financial Accountant | Renewable Energy | Sydney
A profitable, well-backed renewable energy developer with a significant operating portfolio across Australia is growing its finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role with genuine exposure to multi-entity and joint venture accounting — not a siloed transactional position.
The role covers:
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (AASBs/IFRS)
- Variance analysis against budget and forecast
- General ledger management, journals, and reconciliations (fixed assets, prepayments, accruals)
- Month-end and year-end close
- BAS, GST, and statutory compliance
- Audit preparation and internal controls support
- JV accounting — tracking cash, AP/AR across joint venture entities and liaising directly with JV partners
What they're looking for:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant with solid GL experience
- Background in infrastructure, energy, construction, or another project-based industry preferred
- Comfortable managing multiple entities and competing priorities across close cycles
- Familiarity with IFRS/GAAP alongside Australian standards an advantage
