Our client is a leading EPC contractor specialising in major transmission and distribution infrastructure projects across Australia, with a strong track record of delivering complex, high value substation and network builds safely and on time. They are now seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead the delivery of a substation construction project in rural Victoria.

Responsibilities
As the Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the site based delivery of substation construction works from mobilisation through to completion
- Manage programme, cost, quality, and safety across all work fronts
- Coordinate electrical, civil, and structural scopes of work
- Act as the key point of contact for client and stakeholder management
- Oversee subcontractors and supply chain to ensure smooth project progression
- Identify and resolve risks and issues proactively to avoid project delays
- Support commissioning activities and project close out
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in project management within transmission and distribution or broader energy infrastructure
- A strong electrical background, with solid working knowledge of civil and structural works
- Proven experience in EPC contracting
- Substation project experience (highly regarded)
- The ability to work effectively in a rural, site based environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Flexibility to work on a roster based schedule or Monday to Friday, depending on your preference
Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve:
- Overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that arise
- Coordinating with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to maintain alignment on project goals
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications
