Investment Manager role in Sydney

Investment Manager | Renewable Energy | APAC Platform | Sydney / Melbourne

A high-growth renewable energy platform backed by institutional capital is looking for an Investment Manager to join its APAC team. This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a critical inflection point — actively raising capital and targeting financial close on a pipeline of large-scale hybrid renewable projects across the region.

The company is an independent power producer developing, financing and operating utility-scale renewable assets across key APAC markets. It is well-capitalised, transaction-focused, and building a lean, high-calibre team to support its growth ambitions.

The role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a central role in both the platform capital raise and project-level transactions. Your remit will span:

• Supporting the platform capital raise — preparing investor materials, managing LP diligence processes, and coordinating with legal and financial advisers
• Driving project-level investment activity — financial modelling, investment papers, and transaction execution through to financial close
• Supporting M&A activity including asset acquisitions, project disposals, and portfolio management
• Managing relationships with banks, infrastructure funds, advisers, and co-investors across the APAC region
• Contributing to commercial and strategic decision-making as the business scales

What we're looking for

• 5–8 years' experience in project finance, infrastructure investment, investment banking, or a comparable transaction-focused role
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability — you can build, interrogate and present complex models with confidence
• Experience in or genuine appetite for the renewable energy or broader infrastructure sector
• Comfortable working across both platform-level capital raising and project-level deal execution
• Sharp communicator who can hold their own with senior investors, lenders and internal leadership
• Entrepreneurial mindset — this is a lean team where you'll have genuine ownership and visibility from day one
