Senior Power Originator role in Melbourne, VIC

Enemix is partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to find an experienced Senior Originator to lead PPA and hedging strategy across their Australian generation and storage portfolio.

This is a genuinely commercial role at the intersection of energy markets, structuring, and relationship management. If you understand how value gets locked in through PPAs and hedges, and you enjoy being the person in the room when a deal comes together, this one is worth a conversation.

The Role

You will lead origination and hedging activity for a growing pipeline of renewable generation and storage assets, working closely with development, structured finance, operations and legal teams to get deals over the line.

Day to day, you will:

• Lead the origination and hedging strategy for the ANZ generation and storage portfolio
• Secure bankable PPAs, storage agreements, financial hedges and other structures to optimise revenue and manage risk
• Track market and policy developments across the NEM (and ideally the WEM or NZ market) to spot new opportunities and routes to market
• Lead optimisation of the environmental product portfolio
• Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and key stakeholders across the sector
• Represent the business and help position its brand prominently in the Australian energy market

What You Will Bring

• Strong NEM knowledge and experience, gained within utility scale renewables
• A track record originating complex energy transactions, including storage, structuring and financial hedging, across short and long time horizons
• Commercial instincts backed by solid analytical thinking. You can spot and evaluate opportunity, risk and structure
• Experience building genuine, lasting relationships within the energy sector, including Corporate PPA environments
• Confident communication and negotiation skills, comfortable influencing stakeholders at every level
• A relevant degree (finance, business, law, engineering or similar).
