Reducing Our Footprint: Enemix Begins Its Carbon Journey
At Enemix, we connect the people who are building the world’s energy transition — across renewables, utilities, hydrogen, storage and the wider energy mix. We believe a business that recruits for a more sustainable future has a responsibility to hold itself to the same standard.
That’s why we’ve begun a journey to measure, reduce and take responsibility for our own carbon footprint, with the support of Carbon Positive Australia (now Regenerate Australia), a national environmental charity restoring ecosystems and biodiversity across the country.
Starting with the numbers
You can’t reduce what you haven’t measured. Working with Carbon Positive Australia, we’ve completed a full calculation of our carbon footprint — establishing a clear, evidence-based baseline of the emissions generated across our operations.
This assessment is the foundation of everything that follows. It tells us where our emissions come from, where the biggest opportunities to cut them lie, and how we’ll track genuine progress over time rather than relying on good intentions.
Aligning with UN guidelines
With our baseline in place, we’re now working with Carbon Positive Australia to implement practical steps to bring our emissions down — with the goal of limiting our per-person footprint in line with United Nations guidance on what a sustainable, climate-aligned level looks like.
It’s a meaningful target, and we’re approaching it honestly: real reductions first, supported by investment in high-integrity restoration projects that rebuild Australian landscapes and biodiversity.
“Recruiting for the energy transition means we see the scale of the challenge every day. Reducing our own footprint isn’t a side project — it’s part of who we are. Measuring our impact was the first honest step, and aligning to the UN per-person target gives us something real to work towards.”

A journey, not a one-off
This is the start of a long-term commitment, not a box to tick. As we grow across Australia, Europe and beyond, we’ll keep measuring, keep reducing and keep reporting on our progress — so that the standards we hold for our industry are the same ones we hold for ourselves.
We’ll be sharing updates as our journey continues.
